Presenting the art of National Wildlife Artist

Jim Miklavcic

Art of Nature carries Originals and Limited Edition Prints featuring the artwork of Jim Miklavcic. Our goal of bringing you the absolute best in nature-based artwork is clearly seen in Jim's work. His passion to wildlife in their natural habitats has led him to work with organizations around the country to promote conservation and preservation.

Jim Miklavcic was born and raised in Illinois, where he spent most of his time in the woods. Yearly trips to Minnesota and Wisconsin enhanced his knowledge and love for wildlife and nature. The dream of becoming a wildlife artist has always been there. He doesn't remember learning to draw, he has just always known how.

"It just came naturally to me. The bulk of an artist's training has to come from the heart. The desire to learn more seems to be an obsession, a never-ending process."

Over the years, Jim has worked in the field of design and architecture. In 1985, he began to pursue his art in earnest from his home in Florida. Today, he works from his studio in Nebraska.

"I realized my art was more than a hobby to me. It was deep inside and the pull was too great to ignore. I also realized the impact wildlife artists have and share because of the problems facing wildlife and their habitats. The forest, along with it's inhabitants, is our heritage."

Jim is now devoted full-time to his art, teaching and studies of nature, as well as the studies of wildlife and our heritage.
